Limnonectes "kuhlii" currently is a bewildering complex of more than a dozen creek frog lineages awaiting formal description. All these lineages have been recognized by genetic comparison. Most likely none of the Bornean lineages is close to the true Limnonectes kuhlii from Java. Morphologically, C appear similar at first glance but closer examination may lead to diagnostic features in the future. Some of the Creek Frogs have already been described recently and are listed separately under the genus in the navigation list to the right. More species will follow in the future.
